Deacon Jerry Mathew Graduates

Deacon Jerry Mathew graduated from St. Joseph's Dunwoodie seminary, Yonkers on May 20, 2016. He received his Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Theology, and Bachelor of Sacred Theology. During the ceremony, he was also awarded the St. Charles Borromeo Award for Academic Excellence for finishing first in his class with a perfect 4.0 GPA. The graduate's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas and Gracy Mathew, Fr. Michael Edathil, and Bro. Jobin Thomas were present at the event. The convocation ceremony, which was preceded by solemn Evening Prayer, had as its keynote speaker, William McGurn, the former White House chief speech writer, the former chief editorial writer of The Wall Street Journal, and the current editorial page editor of the New York Post.
