Liturgical Season:

Rom 10:1-4

1* Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God on their behalf is for salvation.a 2I testify with regard to them that they have zeal for God, but it is not discerning.b 3For, in their unawareness of the righteousness that comes from God and their attempt to establish their own [righteousness], they did not submit to the righteousness of God.c 4For Christ is the end* of the law for the justification of everyone who has faith.d

Lk 9:37-43

The Healing of a Boy with a Demon.* 37u On the next day, when they came down from the mountain, a large crowd met him. 38There was a man in the crowd who cried out, “Teacher, I beg you, look at my son; he is my only child. 39For a spirit seizes him and he suddenly screams and it convulses him until he foams at the mouth; it releases him only with difficulty, wearing him out. 40I begged your disciples to cast it out but they could not.” 41Jesus said in reply, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long will I be with you and endure you? Bring your son here.” 42As he was coming forward, the demon threw him to the ground in a convulsion; but Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the boy, and returned him to his father. 43And all were astonished by the majesty of God.
