66th Mar Ivanios Day Celebrated

The 66th anniversary of the heavenly journey of the Servant of God Mar Ivanios was celebrated by the Eparchy on Saturday, July 6, 2019. The celebration was held at St. Vincent de Paul Malankara Catholic Cathedral and included Dhoopa praarthana after Solemn Holy Qurbono. His Excellency the Most Rev. Dr. Philipos Mar Stephanos presided over the liturgical celebration. His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Kurt Burnette, His Excellency Most Rev. Yoohanon Mar Chrysostom, and His Excellency Most Rev. Jacob Mar Angadiath were present during the celebrations along with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Peter Kochery Corepiscopo, Very Rev. Msgr. Augustine Mangalath Corepiscopo, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Gigi Philip, Rev. Dr. Saji Mukkoott, Rev. Noby Ayyaneth, Rev. Fr. Abraham Lukose, Rev. Dr. Oonnoony George, Rev. Fr. Binny Philip, Rev. Fr. Michael Edathil, Rev. Dr. Jacob Thekkeparambil, and Fr. John Meleppuram. The celebration was concluded with the distribution of nercha appam. Around 500 people participated in the celebration. The memorial speech was given later by Rev. Fr. Liju Thomas (Mathew) Thundiyil during the Holy Qurbono at St. Vincent De Paul Cathedral.
