Prayer for the Year of Faith

Almighty and ever-loving Father, / we thank you and praise you / for having blessed us / with the gift of Christian faith. You made us a chosen people, / a royal priesthood, / a holy nation / and a people belonging to you / through your Son and our Lord Jesus Christ. Lord, help us ever grow in this faith / and enable us to be your witnesses / to the ends of the earth / through the power of the Holy Spirit. Your divine providence makes us serve you / through the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church, / and through the specific mission, entrusted to our Church in North America. Grant that we may be faithful to the teachings / our Holy Fathers handed over to us, / and make us instruments of peace and unity.

We particularly pray for the Holy Catholic Church, / the guardian of the deposit of faith, / and for all the missionaries / who work for the establishment / of your kingdom of love. May their work bear fruit, / so that / the whole humanity may grow into one true fraternity / under your Fatherhood. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
