Prayer for the Success of the

Eighth Syro-Malankara Catholic Convention

Almighty and ever-loving God, / we praise and thank you for all
the blessings / that you continue to shower upon us / as individuals,
families / and as members of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church.
Each day, we experience your loving kindness, / and we praise you /
for every opportunity to grow in your love. Lord, we recognize our
ecclesial mission / to be faithful to and to promote / the spiritual, liturgical
and cultural patrimony / our forefathers handed over to us.

Lord, let the Syro-Malankara Catholic Convention of 2012 / be an
opportunity / to reflect collectively on our ecclesial life / and on our
divine call / as Malankara Catholics in North America. May it be a
grace-filled occasion for us / to assemble and share your goodness
and love, / so that we may grow deeper in our faith and strengthen
our family commitment and personal relationships.

We pray for all the participants / and all those who work hard / for
a successful and blessed convention. We specially pray for our children
and youngsters. Lord, enlighten us to understand / how crucial
is the growth of our future generation / for the continued presence
of our Church and community in this land. Extend your invisible
hands / upon the sick and vulnerable of our community, / and fill
them with your Holy Spirit. May the prayers of the Blessed Virgin
Mary / St. Thomas, the Apostle / and all other saints / be a stronghold
for us. We offer this prayer / in the name of Jesus Christ, our
Lord. Amen.
